Friday, 10th March:
2pm onwards: Guests can check in at reception.
3 – 5.50pm: Registration on East Terrace Verandah
6pm: Welcome drinks in the Bella Char Garden Courtyard or Terrace Verandah
6.30 – 7.50pm: Dinner in the Bella Char Restaurant – three course alternate serve @$60/per person. Drinks at own expense.
8 – 8.05pm: Geoffrey Usher to give Acknowledgement of Country, East Terrace Room.
8.05 – 9pm: Talk by Jo Henwood; A Holiday Romance, East Terrace Room.
9.15 – 10pm: Quiz hosted by Susannah Fullerton, East Terrace Room.
Saturday, 11th March:
7 – 9.45am: Buffet Breakfast, Bella Char Restaurant
9.45am: Tea and coffee available, East Terrace Room.
10 – 11am: Talk by Susannah Fullerton; Dickens in Italy, East Terrace Room.
11.15am: Morning tea, East Terrace Room. The Old Curiosity Shop will be open.
11.45 – 12.45pm: Talk by Dr Vasudha Chandra, Prescription for Mr Dickens: 1 holiday stat., East Terrace Room.
12.45pm: Buffet Lunch, Bella Char Restaurant
1.45 – 2.45pm: Talk by Catherine Barker OAM, Victorian Holidays at the Seaside, East Terrace Room.
2.45pm: Panel discussion with guest speakers: Alan Dilnot, Susannah Fullerton and Jo Henwood, chaired by Louise Owens, East Terrace Room.
3.45pm: Afternoon tea, East Terrace Room.
4.15 – 5.15pm: Talk by Alan Dilnot, Dickens at the Seaside, East Terrace Room.
6.30pm: Drinks at own expense on the Bella Char Garden Terrace (weather permitting) or on the Terrace Verandah.
7 – 8.20pm: Dinner, three course alternate serve, Bella Char Restaurant.
8.30: Auction by Gary Corkill of opal necklace, East Terrace Room. Tea & coffee available.
Sunday, 12th March:
7am: Buffet Breakfast, Bella Char Restaurant
9am: Guests’ accounts to be finalised at Reception and to vacate accommodation rooms. Bags can be stored in Bella Room until the end of the country weekend.
9.45am: Tea and coffee on arrival, East Terrace Room. The Old Curiosity Shop will be open.
10 – 10.45am: Talk by Gary Corkill, Dickens in America; A Working Holiday, East Terrace Room.
10.45 – 11.15am: Morning Tea, East Terrace Room.
11.15 – 12noon: Talk by Michelle Cavanagh; Dickens and Punch & Judy, East Terrace Room.
12noon: Raffle drawn, The Mystery of Edwin Drood quiz self-marker, lucky door prize announced, Dickens’ Dream competition winner announced. Thanks by Louise Owens, East Terrace Room.
12.30 – 1.30pm: Lunch, Bella Char Restaurant then departure.
