It’s your chance to join the NSW Dickens Society!

Do you enjoy reading, books and learning? The NSW Dickens Society celebrates the works of Charles Dickens, his life, and era. With engaging guest speakers (local, national and international) five times a year, a fun Charles Dickens birthday, and a Christmas function (Dickens loved celebrations), there are lots of reasons why you should join the NSW Dickens Society. We are also holding a Country Weekend in 2017 and we are hosting the International Dickens Fellowship Conference for 2018. We are a welcoming group of academics and enthusiastic amateurs. We’d love to see you at our meetings and events!

Absolutely not! You don’t need to have read every book Charles Dickens wrote to join our society, and enjoy the talks. We are a group of enthusiasts celebrating Dickens’ life, works and era and we welcome anyone who shares our interest.When are the meetings? Doors open for our Saturday meetings at 10am, the meeting starts at 10.30am and finishes at about 12noon at the Sydney Room, Sydney Tattersalls Club, 194 – 204 Pitt Street (near Market Street), Sydney. Optional lunch afterwards at own expense.

    Do I need to book anything? You don’t need to book to attend the Saturday meetings. Christmas Lunch and Conferences require bookings.
