Susannah Fullerton – Author, Lecturer, Literary Tour Leader, President of the Jane Austen Society of Australia and one of the founding members of the NSW Dickens Society – was leading twenty eight Australians on a literary tour of Ireland when she heard that she had been awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in the 2017 Queens Birthday Honours with a citation which reads “For services to literature as an author, lecturer and historian”.
Following on from the awarding of the OAM to Susannah, she was further honoured by being made a Fellow of the Royal Society of NSW which recognises leaders in the fields of science, art, literature and philosophy. NSW Dickens Society congratulates Susannah on both counts; well done!
